We welcome all prospective students interested in applying for admissions into SCIT. The Admissions Process is a sequence of steps an applicant must complete to enroll. Please contact Admissions to get started after reviewing the entrance requirements and the admissions process below.

Campus Student Admissions Process

The following is the process for applicants wishing to enroll for campus programs* (select courses in-person, face-to-face). Most campus programs start every 5 weeks. Please check with the Admissions Office for available start dates or check the academic calendar. Applications are accepted on a continual basis.

* A portion of courses in a program may be offered online only or in a hybrid delivery method (i.e. in-person and online). Please contact the Admissions Office for more details.

Schedule First Visit

Please contact the Admissions Office by emailing admissions@scitech.edu, calling (714) 300-0300 or requesting information in order to speak with an Admissions Advisor and schedule your first visit. You may also schedue an appointment to visit SCIT on our online booking site.

Complete Admissions Application

Applications are accepted on a continual basis. You may complete the SCIT Application for Admissions online via our Application Portal prior to your visit.

Tour and Interview

When first visiting the school, you will be provided with a tour of the facilities and an overview of the program by an admissions advisor. You will also complete a brief interview with the admissions advisor to determine whether your educational and career goals align with the school’s offerings.

Take Entrance Exam

Should you decide to move forward with the Admissions Process, you will be given a short (30 minute), multiple choice entrance exam that measures logic and reasoning skills. The types of questions on this exam are not ones that an individual can prepare for beforehand and there is no sample exam provided to applicants.

Attend Financial Aid Meeting

A meeting is scheduled with a Financial Aid Officer to review the cost of the program and any federal and state student aid that you may be eligible to receive. Applicants are provided with information and guidance on how to complete the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility should they choose to seek federal student aid. An Award Letter is provided showing the total estimated costs and student aid available.

VETERAN STUDENTS: Military veterans who are seeking to fund their education with eligible veterans benefits programs will be directed to the school’s VA coordinator to discuss eligibility criteria and available options. SCIT is approved for the training of veterans according to Title 38, United States Code.

ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY STUDENTS: Active duty military students may be eligible to participate in the Military Tuition Assistant (TA) program as a source of financial aid to help fund eligible educational expenses.

If Accepted, Offer of Admissions

Complete Final Enrollment Steps

Complete enrollment packet paperwork and submit all required documentation, including any prior college transcripts if seeking transfer credit.

Receive Orientation Material

Student account information is provided along with orientation material for you to learn about the schools services and student policies before your first day of class.

Online Student Admissions Process

The following is the process for applicants wishing to enroll in fully online programs. Start dates of fully online programs vary and have capacity restrictions to ensure availability of trainers. Please check with the Admissions Office for available start dates. Applications are accepted on a continual basis.

Complete Online Application Form

Complete and submit an Online Student Application via the Application Portal. You may save your progress and return to the application if needed by creating an account (click "Save" on the bottom of the application page and you will be provided with instructions to create an account).

If Accepted, Conditional Offer of Admissions

If accepted, applicants are offered admission conditional on successful completion of the next steps. Space is reserved, a student account is created, and a deadline is provided for you to complete the next steps.

Complete Online Orientation and Readiness Workshop

Successfully complete an online workshop with a short quiz to demonstrate your readiness to participate in SCIT's online courses.

Electronically complete enrollment packet paperwork and submit all required documentation, including any prior college transcripts if seeking transfer credit.

Receive Orientation Material & First Trainer

Orientation material is provided for you to learn about the schools services and student policies before your first day of class. If your first class is one that uses a trainer, one will be shipped to your address within 2 weeks prior to your class start along with your books and class materials.

International Student Admissions Process

The following is the process for international applicants wishing to seek a student visa (F-1 or M-1) to study in the United States at SCIT. Most In-person programs start every 5 weeks. Please check with the Admissions Office for available start dates or check the academic calendar. Applications are accepted on a continual basis.

Complete International Student Application & Pay Fee

Complete and submit all parts of the International Student Application via the Application Portal. After completing all parts, submit the application with a non-refundable application fee of $20 (US Dollars). Please make sure to review the Entrance Requirements, especially the English Language Proficiency Requirements.

If Accepted, Offer of Admissions

If accepted, applicants are offered admission and issued a Form I-20, which you will need when visiting a local U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence (or the nearest U.S. Embassy).

Visa Application Process & Final Enrollment Steps

You will be provided information and guidance by an International Student Advisor on the visa interviewing process. After you arrive and get settled, you will complete any remaining enrollment packet paperwork required to begin your first day of classes.

Receive Orientation Material

Student account information is provided along with orientation material for you to learn about the schools services and student policies before your first day of class. An international student advisor will also help assimilate you with the surrounding area and provide you with information to better help you transition to studying in the United States.
