DIPLOMA
Computer Networking & Cybersecurity
The Computer Networking & Cybersecurity program is an accelerated 8 month training program designed for students to learn how to install, maintain and secure network infrastructures from the ground up. Students learn to configure Cisco® based network devices (e.g. enterprise routers, switches, and wireless controllers) to support effective and secure communication between servers and clients, and further learn to install and configure Linux and Microsoft Windows® based servers to support common network services (e.g. TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.) with a focus on cybersecurity best practices.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE
Information Systems
After completing the Computer Networking & Cybersecurity Diploma, eligible graduates have the option to continue toward earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems. The BSIS Degree is a rigorous, heavily lab-oriented program that can be completed in less that 3 years and aims to educate students how various information systems and services integrate securely to deliver solutions to business of all sizes. Key topics include cybersecurity, cloud and virtualization, web technologies, databases, programming for administrators, and IT auditing.

FLEXIBILITY
Online or In-Person Offerings
Students have the option to enroll either fully online or partially online with specific courses offered in-person utilizing the schools IT lab facilities.

All courses completed online from home
Blended
Some courses completed online. Others completed at SCIT.
CHOOSE ONLINE IF: You prefer the flexibility of completing your coursework at home. For labs involving physical network devices (e.g. Cisco routers), you are comfortable working independently with virtual instances of physical networking hardware.
CHOOSE BLENDED IF: You prefer the flexibility of taking lecture portions of courses online but want the hands-on experience of working with real networking devices. You also prefer to learn from faculty and interact with fellow classmates in-person.

Take shorter programs first to acquire the skills needed for employability. Build up from there by working while studying toward a degree.
Fast-Track Career Training
Work experience is critical to advance a career, especially in the information technology and cyber space. Through SCIT’s Cyber and IS Career Pathway program design, students first train to enter the IT/cyber field after completing their 8 month diploma. From there, eligible students have the option to continue toward earning a degree in the evenings while gaining work experience.
